General website Feedback:
Hi,

I just wanted to say what a wonderful, informative website you have.  You have also just helped me save one of my rabbits lives.

I have a ten week old baby rabbit which I bred myself.  There were five in the litter but we decided to keep this one, mainly so her mum had company and also because of her lovely colour.

We had cause to take her to the vet last Monday evening as she had more or less stopped eating and had very quickly lost weight.  As I am currently unable to work and am not earning, paying vets' fees is not always easy so I was limited in the treatment I could afford.

The vet diagnosed gastric intestinal stasis and said that although she did not appear to be in any pain at that stage, there were no abdominal sounds and all we could do was give her 'critical care' - a syringe administered feeding formula and pineapple juice as he said she may be constipated and infacol for any pain due to our limited finances.

Two days later she had deteriorated still further and was by now in pain.  I then went purely by chance onto your website.  The magic words really, were 'it takes about a week and on about the 5th day...'  I knew I couldn't give up.  She was trying to hold on to life and I had to help her.

I brought her indoors, gave her a well covered hot water bottle and the infacol.  I carried on feeding the critical care and also water via a syringe and the pineapple juice.  Within a couple of days she was tempted by clover flowers and the next day apple.  By Saturday she was back with her mum and beginning to eat a more normal diet.  She is now slowly putting on weight.

All I can say is - "Thank You".  We have 18 rabbits and when we first got them our financial situation was not a problem and obviously now that has changed we are not going to just neglect them.  I have had rabbits since I was 16 and have worked with animals as well, so fortunately know how to look after them.  I also give them good quality food and hay and we would rather go without than see them go without.

I have also been on your online shop - marvellous!  I just had to buy the buns a few treats.

I attach a couple of photos of 'Hunny' and her mum Fluffy who is angora - a throwback as she was the only one in her litter of her colour and with long hair.

Wishing you continued success.

Andrea NJ, Northants

Toby is absolutely wonderful, a real dream rabbit. He is using his litter tray very carefully, not even needing any training. Not so his hay rack - he prefers to jump up and sit in this looking cute! He is licking like mad every time we pick him up and is putting on weight and growing fast. Last night some rabbit-fanatic friends of ours came to meet him and were bowled over!

Thank you very much for letting us adopt this bundle of gorgeousness!

Hope all yours are thriving,

Bunny wishes

Katie & Neil, Bristol

Just a quick email to say that we are all home safe and sound, both bunnies were fine during the journey, in fact they spent most of the way on my
shoulders and neck. They are resting as we speak and are definitely 'pooing' lots and lots and also have made a few strenuous trips to the food
bowl which is all of a foot away from them. Lola seems to be a little more adventurous and is hopping around on her fleece where as Tilly (agouti) is
sticking to what she knows and is in the litter tray close to her familiar smells.

Thought you would like to know that they are quickly settling in (one less thing for you to worry about at the moment as would could see you are a very
busy lady)

We would all like to say a huge big THANK YOU for what you have done for us, you have been more than helpful over the past months in our case ;-) and now that we have visited you we can see that you take great care in what you do - its just a shame there isn't more people like you around. You can see how much effort goes into caring for your furry mob as they are all so beautiful and gentle.

Thanks again for all that you have done, we have learnt many valid points from you about rabbit care which we will be following from now on.

Kylie and Mandy N, Cheshire.

Just to let you know that Dandy has had a great first day.  He spent most of the afternoon after we got home snoozing in his litter tray and has since been eating and drinking well and has munched his way through a full rack of hay.  A very laid back little bunny indeed, he must have followed the example set by Giles regarding his priorities in life - sleep and food!  Kerry, Herefordshire.

Just thought you might like to know that Missy did very well on her long journey and has settled down fantastically well.  She spent a large part of the journey sitting (or stretched right out) on the middle of the back seat in the car occasionally going between dad and her little big sister!  Eva was especially honoured to get the first licks from her.  She enjoyed munching on the hay but didn't drink much which worried us slightly.  However, once we got home and set up her new house she did drink.  At first she just sat in the litter tray and then got braver and hopped out to explore her new home.  She found the food bowl and salt lick, munched from her hay rack and then settled down on top of her little house in the cage.  This morning she has been very good and has been going to her litter tray to wee, although she has been pooping on top of her house next to the food but I think this may be the type that she then eats??  We have made up fresh water with the probiotic and decided to open up the door of the cage to see if she was ready for a cuddle.  After a little while she did come out of her own accord and had cuddles with Morgan, big sister.  The fact that she has a house in the cage and she is not hiding away in it, although she has had a good explore around it, we are taking as a good sign that she is not feeling scared.  She is eating well and we are all thrilled with her.

Thanks again for our wonderful little Missy and all your advice.

Diane and family, Fife, Scotland.

Just a quick mail to let you know we all arrived home safely. Willow and Fiver have settled in nicely and are eating and drinking well, they were a little overwhelmed with the size of the hutch at first, but they will soon grow into it. We have blocked the bottom off for awhile to allow them to settle a little better and will introduce the rest of the hutch and the run to them over the next few days.
I have looked at the birth to weaning CD and the pictures are great but the ones of them all feeding from mum are amazing. It was great to meet you and all the furry mob today and I will send you some updated photos in about a month so you can see how much they have grown.

All the best
Sue and Steve Y, Staffordshire

Thank you for yesterday.

Ronnie seems fine, we left him on his own for a few hours when we got back, then I gave him a snuggle and left him for the night. I'm not sure how much he has eaten, although he has been munching his hay. As I am writing this, I am sitting on the floor by his cage, and he is having a good clean. He does seem a little wary of us! he is certainly keeping an eye on what we are up to, and we are trying to give him some attention but also respect his need for space and time to get used to us.

We are going to have a quiet day, with lots of snuggles in between.

Ronnie is totally adorable Karen, and we both fell in love with him instantly. He has already perked up since last night, and is busy pushing his litter around the tray making himself at home.

It feels like Christmas day for me!!

Annie R, Glos

Just to let you know the bunnies have settled in well and love their new home. We can't believe how tame and affectionate they are at such an young age.

We have had above average experience with rabbits but have never seen them like this.

We thank you for such a great job you have done at bringing them up and looking after their family tree.

They are loving running around and playing in the house, and rarely leave each other's side.  We will send a couple of pictures soon.

Thanks

Matt and Deb, Kent.

Just thought I would write you an email to let you know how Jasper and Jessica are getting on.

They are settling in nicely and have been eating lots of lovely hay and food so I can safely say their appetites have not been interrupted at all. They have been having lots of exercise and investigating their new home and I have been able to bring them inside the house as they seem to be 99% litter trained. I just wish the weather was a little drier so they can try out their new slabbed run-I can't wait to see them playing with the tunnel I bought!

Jasper likes a cuddle and tends to be a bit slower whereas Jess is keen to explore and likes to tear round the place!! They really are a joy and I wanted to thank you for the time and care that you have invested in them as this is so apparent in their personalities.

Take care.

LS, Staffordshire

First, I promise not to bother you with each step of my new motherhood, but I was so excited this morning. :-)

I have been picking Georgie up for a cuddle every so often, since we brought him home, and last night we let him down just in one room for a hop around and an explore.

He seems perfectly relaxed as in grooming himself, eating, drinking being active and playing with his toys, and he hopped all over me last night when I sat on the floor, but when I approached his cage he'd always run to the back.
Anyway, this morning first thing I went to his cage and said "morning Georgie" and he literally bounded over to me, I opened the cage and he just sat there being fussed,  he went off to play with his toy ball, and I had my hand resting on the cage floor and he hopped over and nudged my hand up for a nose rub, it was such a lovely feeling. Today every time I have gone to him he just hops up to me, and didn't struggle at all when I picked him up the last time.

Sorry to bore you.  I know this is all old hat for you, but this is all such a new experience for me and I am loving it, he's stolen my heart already and he's only been with us 2 days!!!!! He is going to be a very much loved member of our family.

Sharon D, Cheltenham, May 2006

Just thought I would let you know that Stanley seems to be settling in well he was fine on the journey back.  We left him alone when we got home - it was hard though! he seemed to want a rest but he was soon sniffing around his new cage especially when we put the soiled litter in his tray we also gave him his new furry bunny toy in case he was lonely and he keeps laying on it.  At the moment he is in the lounge in his play pen watching coronation street he has had a brush lots of cuddles and has spread himself out now munching on hay I think he is going to be boss of this house definitely! He is so lovely we are really pleased with him - thank you for giving him such a good start in life.  Sue A, Essex.

Just thought i would drop you a quick update on Jasper, well he's a total star , I cant believe how tame and cuddly he is!! He spent last night on my knee watching ER ( he quite likes that seemingly) grinding his teeth every now and then which I gather is a bunny purr. He has almost got the hang of his tray, only one wee accident and poos are some in some just outside the tray so he's very nearly there already with it!! He has a new game is his "condo" which involves hopping full speed up the ramp with the carpet on it then sliding back down and jumping into his litter tray at the bottom, this provides much bunny amusement for ages. He has met 1 of our cats, the old boy , who is totally unconcerned by him, they have been nose to nose through his cage sniffed each other and that was that, he has also met the dog who seems unbothered by him too.. I think they just think he is another cat although they are rather bemused about why he is in a cage, I'm sure they are plotting his escape with him!!

He is absolutely gorgeous and a total credit to you and your breeding. Will send pics when we find the camera, house is rather a tip ATM, the living room is carpeted with hay and has a farmyard look about it lol!!
Emma, Mark and Jasper Bunny xxx  May 2006

It was lovely to meet you yesterday, and thank you so much for your time and patience with us. As you may have gathered, we are very thorough (and perhaps a little bit worriers) so thank you for answering all our questions etc.

So onto Attila's progress report...

Well the journey home was absolutely fine. Once the air conditioning was on he settled right down and stretch out on my lap, and was good as gold, bless him, during the long journey. He didn't doze off, but was far too inquisitive, sitting up once in a while to sniff anything in nose distance.

He soon learnt which way to lean when we went around corners in the car and was soon putting a sturdy paw down a beat or two before we turned in anticipation. His eyes only started to get heavy when we were about five minutes from home, and we had no little accidents either, so he was the perfect car bunny.

Once we got his cage and playpen set up, we let him investigate his new home. He headed straight for the litter tray where he could smell mum from the bedding you gave us, and after a five minute rest was off exploring again. Firstly he would only venture a little way before jumping straight back to the safety and familiarity of the litter tray but soon after was chomping on hay and food and seemed absolutely unfazed by the experience.

Once he looked relaxed we gave him some time to himself to get better acquainted with his new surroundings (with only sneaky glances from us every 15 minutes through the glass doors to check he was ok.)

Today we gave him his first cuddle (new mum and later with new grandma), and for a short while made an opening in the playpen for him to explore the bunny proofed room (while being supervised of course) he will be living in until he is ready to venture a little further. Soon he was bounding around like he's been here forever!! We sat on the floor with him and he came and said hello several times. He is absolutely amazing, he learns so quickly!!

He only has five minute spells when he rests, and then he's off again, exploring, playing (the tunnel, jingle ball, and hay rack seem to be firm favourites at the moment!) oh and eating eating eating, he never stops!! This also includes his rabbit log tunnel/ladder which we are using for him to get in and out of his cage, and he is already managing to strip of bark, and a rabbit willow ball which we took away from him, as we wanted to check with you first it was ok for him to eat? (It was especially for rabbits, but being he's only still a baby, things like that, salt licks etc, product labels and rabbit books don't say at what age to give them to them.)

As you may have gathered, we are totally in love with him already!!! I've taken three days off work (bunny maternity leave) so we could have bunny/human bonding time together, so far he seems to have settled in far better than I ever could have hoped for (I'm sure we have you to thank for that!!)

Anyway will keep you updated on his future progress,

Julie. x  (Kent)

Poppy is a wonderful little pet. She's sooooo soppy and loves to be petted and regularly sits on my knee for head/nose rubs, she often comes to ask for cuddles which is really lovely. She does cute little bunny hops and runs round the living room as fast as she can then turns round just to check mum is watching, as if to say 'look how fast I can run mummy, how clever am I!'

It was worth coming all the way down to Ross on Wye to get her because she's so soppy. I also like the normal bunny traits she has (although she is very different from Barney) but there are a few similarities: She has selective deafness and only recognises her name when there is food involved, she nudges you out of the way if she perceives you are in her way and she likes to sit at the top of the sofa so that she can be taller than you when you are sitting down. We love her to pieces, she's a little treasure and everyone who meets her thinks she's beautiful. She looks very like Hamlet which is great because I always thought Hamlet looked like royalty! He's very regal!

KJ - Edinburgh & SR - Guernsey.  Poppy was collected in December 2005.  Feedback - April 2006

Dear Karen and all your lovely bunnies.

It was really lovely to meet you, and thank you for the time you gave us, despite the fact we were half an hour late.

What can we say about our lovely 'twins'.

They were brilliant in the car - no accidents, and they seemed really relaxed and comfortable.  When we got home we introduced them to their new house, fed them and left them for a couple of hours, but then we couldn't resist, we picked them up and took them into the sitting room.  After some cuddles and stroking, we let them 'loose' on the floor and within minutes they were running around, jumping and skipping, in rabbit terms they were 'binkying'.

You have done a great job on litter training - we took the tray into the sitting room and they used this when needed to, which we thought was very impressive.

They had a goodnight's sleep and had the run of the kitchen/family room, and no accidents there either.

Daisy decided that she didn't want to be called Daisy,  so is now called Betsy.  Boo is quite happy with his name, and it suits him as he always playing peekaboo.  After a shy start he now seems the most inquisitive of the pair.   They are both eating and drinking really well, and Boo has started to follow me around, so I need to watch where I am stepping.  Betsy loves to be stroked, will nudge Wes's hand for more, and also makes the 'bunny happy noise'

A million thanks Karen, all your hard work and dedication, shines through your bunnies.

Boo and Betsy want to write, but they are having a rest at the moment.

Julie and Wes, Wiltshire.

Hi Karen,

Sorry I have not been in touch sooner, but a certain little monkey has taken to chewing through wires and has destroyed the internet cable. I am back at work today, so I thought you might want to know hw we have been getting on!!

Well apart from the wires, everything is great!!! He is so well behaved, and absolutely adorable. He sits on my shoulder most of the time watching TV!!! And we have tea & biscuits in bed every morning. He is eating so much food it is unbelievable!!! And he has now taken to racing up and down the stairs as one of his little games. He is just great!!

We are struggling with his litter training though!! He has taken to using the couch (in particular) as a toilet!! As soon as I put him down on it he wees straight away. If he is on my lap he is fine!!!! He is ok in his hutch, but if we let him run about, he poos everywhere. I am sure he will get the hang of it eventually!!!

As soon as the internet cable is replaced at home I will send some pictures!!!!

Charlotte, Warwickshire.

PS, the hutch (Bumper Bunny Chalet) took 5 mins to assemble, and looks great!!

Just a quick note to let you know that Jas and Ollie have settled in brilliantly.  I couldn’t believe how well behaved they were for the journey home.  Jasmine was so relaxed that she stretched right out with her back legs sticking out behind her and Oliver just snuggled down on my lap – it was the most enjoyable trip I have ever had in the car!!

As soon as I put Ollie in the cage, he went for a wee (in the litter tray!) and they promptly settled in by eating, pooping, drinking – they are textbook bunnies!  We left them for three hours or so to investigate their home and then they came out for cuddles.  Jasmine is already becoming a daddy’s girl as she was definitely most happy on Miles’ lap!

Today they are fine – still doing all the right bunny things, but best of all, they love their cuddles!  You really have reared the most wonderful rabbits and we are so glad we got them from you!

With love,

Hayley

P.S. Jas and Ollie send their licks and nose rubs to you!!!

Just to let you know that Rocky is settling in really well. He is eating and drinking loads, he loves his cage and is so, so cute! We are start to let him out of his cage and he is getting interested in his surroundings. We are all so pleased with him and have spent hours just sitting watching him eat, drink and clean himself!

Thanks again -  we love him!

Sally

Followed a week later by:

Rocky has had a great first week - he is litter trained and comes into the lounge in the evenings.  He hasn't found the kitchen yet  but he has got up the first 3 stairs! He is really loves being with people and being stroked and is thoroughly gorgeous!

Hello Aunty Karen I'm having a lovely time in my new house. Lots of cuddles and a big rug to run around on, it's great. Mummy & daddy are very impressed with how clever I am I've discovered how to run up their legs to get onto the sofa then hide behind the cushions i think I'm hidden but they always spot by bob-tail poking out. I've eaten lots & have a big belly tonight I'm also drinking lots of water with AviPro in & munching on hay. I love my new house I get so excited I jump up really high. Ooops I nibbled a hole in mummy's trouser pocket but she didn't mind. Lots of love (hope mummy is ok), Smurfy in Carlisle x.

Followed up by a note from his mum, Alison:

Just a note to let you know how well little Smurfy is getting on.  He's an absolute delight!  He's extremely playful and is into everything, he knows all the nooks and crannies to hide in!  He is eating very well and drinkning lots too, which is great to see and hence he is growing very fast with lovely glossy fur.  He has the whole of downstairs to roam about in all day (he's still a bit little to climb the stairs) although as he won't venture onto the laminate floor he has a big rug with a long piece of adjoining carpet we out down that was left over from our study refurbishments so he can run very fast and do big jumps.  He loves to run up legs when you're sitting on the sofa and then run up your body and sit on your shoulder like a parrot.  He's been known to sit on my shoulder for an hour at a time.  He loves cuddles and likes to sit next to us in the sofa and spread out with his little legs behind him so he looks like an 'H'!

All in all he is doing really well and he is as interactive and responsive as a dog or cat.  He seems to be very happy.

Hope all is well with you......thought I'd keep you updated on Willow's progress.

His ear has flopped over the right side now, although it seems to be bothering him at the moment, he keeps twitching it.

As far as keeping him in goes, we aren't!....we gave up.  So now he has got the run of the dining room and upstairs on the landing.  We bought a child gate to keep him down but he manages to squeeze through the side......he's so clever.  He's started to wee in his litter tray but still having accidents with his poo.

He's so beautiful though.  He knows exactly where his treats are kept and goes in the kitchen and stands on his back feet sniffing at the draw.

He falls asleep on me every night for half an hour, he jumps on the settee (its lucky its leather because he's had a few accidents on it). He loves to be around your feet all the time looking what your doing.  He's only just started coming out to the kitchen because its a tiled floor and I don't think he liked it.  But know I cant keep him out of there, especially when I'm cooking he's really nosey!......I couldn't imagine being without him now.  I'm going on holiday for 2 weeks in August and I really don't want to leave him, I'm going to miss him so much.      Sam McA,

Update on Lulu, French Lop daughter of Wilma, living in France:

We honestly are amazed by Lulu and the antics she gets up to. She has become the talking point of the village, rushing up to the garden gate to stalk any passer-by and generally following everyone around the garden as if she were a dog.

It is truly unbelievable to watch, she is completely addicted to human company. When our kitchen door is open for even the shortest length of time, she dashes in as fast as anything and settles down in the living room. She will stay in the house for 6-8 hours at a time with absolutely NO mess whatsoever. In fact, she is by her own doing, becoming a house rabbit. She just likes to be inside with us. It is lovely.

I cannot portray to you enough the difference in this bunny to what we have ever experienced before. She is such a character and I love her to bits.

Caroline B, France, November 2005

(Lulu is the littermate sister of Linford and Little  Bo-Peep below - see feedback of March 2005)

Feedback from Doyle's owners in Hampshire:

Thought I'd let you know how it's all going....

Doyle has settled in nicely. He gets more and more handsome every day and has just had a growth spurt, over night it seemed!! His ears seem to grow fastest!
Do you remember I phoned you about Sybil chasing him? Well, she still does but much less enthusiastically now. There has been some fur flying, but we no longer have to monitor them so closely. It used to be that we had to follow him and make sure he was ok, now we can sit and watch TV keeping an eye on them and know that he is fine. Chances are it may not happen at all but he just loves to wiggle his bottom at her and then run away!!! He and Gus are fine together, no probs there.

When Doyle is in his pen and i walk past he stands on his back legs and puts his nose right up for me to rub. He also responds to my voice and comes when i call him!! He is very cuddly and affectionate, though he has a thing for nipping my neck when he's lying on my chest and gnawing my knuckles. Doesn't do it to Simon at all, just me.

He's also a real foodie!! Eats very well, though he has to have both feet in the bowl!!
All we have to do now is teach him to go around things!!  If the water bowl is between him and his destination, he gets there with wet feet!!
As soon as we replace the lead to the digicam I will send pics, but Sybil chewed through it when we forgot to put it back in the box!! She's saving her pocket money for a new one at the moment.

Doyle sends a big wet footed wave and ear wiggle!

Lots of love
Lisa, Simon, Doyle Sybil and Gus.  November 2005

First Birthday update on Shoofy in London:

Just to let you know that Shoofy (Madam Butterfly and Giles' daughter from Nov 04) is wonderful - She's as happy as Larry, and a very cuddly girl.  She really is the most beautiful, lovely big bun in the whole of London!

She's eaten 2 whole willow tepee's since December!  And she honks to say thank you for her daily basil leaf treat - such good manners :)
Hope you are well, and many congratulations on your marriage!

Birthday update on Arthur, son of Bella and Hamlet....

Just to update you on Arthur's 1st birthday (well just over now as we have been away on holiday).

He is absolutely delightful and is the most spoilt bunny rabbit you could ever imagine.  He is never cage bound, is completely trained (and we are bunny proofed throughout the house).  He sleeps most of the night with us on our bed, jumps in and out of his own free will, occasionally going back to his adapted cage to have a roll in the hay.

Adopting him is the best thing we have ever done and I cannot recommend you highly enough. We all have had enjoyment beyond our wildest dreams, he really is a member of the family, and he wont let us forget that either !

Thanks again, and we will update you on his Second birthday!

Emma W, Manchester.  September 2005

From the adopters of Iona's twins in August 2005:

Hi Karen, Just wanted to thank you for two wonderful little bunnies! They are so gorgeous, and the girls say they are even better than they thought they would be ! The twins settled in really quickly...we left them alone for an hours peace, and they love their new apartment ....Then they came in the house for lots of lovely cuddles.

They are both so tame, and lap up the attention. I think the boy is going to be quite cheeky...he's got that twinkle in his eye ! Anyway, they've both gone into their apartment for the night...Ellie is just about to read them a bedtime story !

Thanks again for everything,

Kate and family (including Radish and Bloo), Gloucestershire

From the adopters of one of Bonnie and Disney's fawn sons (we retained his sisters and his brother moved in with his proud dad):

Just thought I'd update you on the little fawn boy who went to the Isle of Man in June.   He's doing absolutely brilliantly and is the most cuddlesome bun I've ever had. My only problem is I get very little work done now as during the day he begs for a cuddle whenever I walk by, and in the evening he sits across my knee washing me for hours! He is such a soppy thing, and I just love him so much!

Thanks again

Cheryl W, Isle of Man

From the adopters of Wilma's family in July 2005:

Maisy, as we have christened her, is absolutely adorable.  She was such a good girl on the way home and settled for a cuddle quite quickly.  She loves her hutch and was sitting waiting for breakfast this morning.

Teddy (her new husband) was initially very scared of her, however he has met her properly and attempted lots of improper manoeuvres with Maisy.  She has just allowed him to do his thing and carried on as normal.  At the moment she is sitting in her run on the patio (which is in shade)

Many many thanks for letting us have her, I shall keep you informed of their progress.

I have read Penelope's story with a great deal of sadness, but also thankfulness that there are people out there willing to go the extra mile to ensure the well-being of such wonderful but often mistreated creatures.  I think it is fantastic what you have achieved and you have the lasting legacy of Penelope's family.

Love
Julie xx, Shropshire.

Note: Penelope is Maisy's Great-Great-Grandmother, a rescue bunny who'd been left to die in a pet carrier.  Read her story at www.french-lops.fsnet.co.uk/penelope.htm

Hi Karen, just to let you know we are now home safely.  Charlie and Clover were perfect in the car and sat on my lap beautifully all the way home. They are now tucking in to a light snack of hay and 'bran' and waited to get to their tray before each having a large wee and lots of poops! Thank you so much for all you have done for us all. Will give you regular updates.  Best wishes as always, Sarah in Nottingham.

From the adopters of Isabel, from Winifred and Giles' French Lop litter, June 2005:-

Just a short note to let you know that we are home safe and sound. Isabel travelled like a champ. About an hour into the drive she stretched out and fell asleep in my lap. And we had NOTHING to clean up once we got home, unlike Wattie before her.

She was very quiet when we put her in her play pen but it only took 45 minutes before she came out of the litter box for a bite to eat. She's been eating and drinking ever since. Wattie's reaction to her so far is to pay an INORDINATE amount of attention to Rob and me! He likes her smell on us both but is still perplexed by her movements (early times yet).

I can't thank you enough for breeding and so carefully raising such terrific individuals. Isabel is beautiful and a wonderful addition to our family.

I promise pictures will follow soon,

'til then,

Many, Many Thanks,  LB, Saffron Walden, Essex.  (See bottom entry for feedback on Wattie (Watlington) from Imogen and Wellington's first litter together in 2003....).  This message was followed up, in July 2005, by:-

I am happy to report that Wattie and Isabel are bonding. Wattie's initial reaction of growling and lunging, happily had NO effect on Isabel, who finally wore him down with her charm and persistence. To give him his due, if you were peaceable sleeping and someone charges over your head at a good rate of knots, you'd growl too! Isabel is irrepressibly good natured and playful.  And when Wattie started grooming her and sharing his favourite sleeping spot, I knew she'd won him over.  The only trouble we have now is trying to get a decent picture of the two of them together. Rich in bunny love,  LB

- and the adopter of Isabel's brother, Alfie:

It was lovely to meet you and the furry mob!

Alfie has been an absolute angel. He was in the car for over 3 hours and didn't do any puddles or droppings at all - I can't believe he managed to hold it in!

We can't believe just how cuddly he is already. On the way home, if I didn't stroke him for a minute he was looking at me wondering why I had stopped! He's just like a living teddy bear!

He loves his new cage and toys and has been keen to explore the flat as well and this morning was bounding around like he's been there for months!

Thank you so much for all of your help, and I'll send you some photos of Alfie in his new home as soon as I have downloaded them.

Speak soon,

From the adopters of Billy and Bobbie, Floosie and Hamlet's mini lop twins, May 2005:

The twins were perfect on the way home, no puddles whatsoever.  Billy  has learnt some tricks from his sister and is now too jumping into the hay rack, sometimes whilst Bobbie is sitting in there as well, bit of a squash but never mind, they love it.  They have settled in really well and have a great temperament.  They are still with us in the living room as we can't bear to put them outside for fear of missing their antics.  After a few gentle hops around to discover their new surroundings they are now showing great confidence and tearing around the place with hops and jumps which is keeping us very amused.  Beats watching the TV any day!

The CD is absolutely brilliant, it is a nice touch with the photographs of where they were born and all of the photos taken from birth onwards are brilliant.  We love the video clips of them in their hutch - especially the bit when Bobbie is sitting in the hay rack when you opened the door, she is a real cheeky monkey.

It was a shame the heavens opened on collection day as I could have stopped and talked about bunnies all day - drive my mum mad about them.  It was great to meet you and the bunnies in the flesh, seems like I know everyone already as have been following developments on your website regularly!  Floosie is a great mum and is so pretty - we have a special affection for agoutis as our previous mum Katie was one and was brilliant with her children.

The twins have been well worth the wait and we are more than overjoyed with them - although I won't knock our previous brood as they all had fabulous characters and we loved them to bits, but they did have their teeth and other health problems.  The time, effort and knowledge you put in producing quality bunnies is certainly evident in our twins and we are very grateful.

As I write they are running around the lounge and  their speed and agility increases by the hour. They seem to be in competition to see who can run the fastest, turn the quickest, and jump the highest.

Roland and Cassandra are a joy.

They are amazingly affectionate, Roland particularly stands on my feet and circles my legs demanding cuddles as soon as I step into the hutch.

They are also very tolerant of the kids, even my 4 year old can scoop up Cassandra as she has obviously read the 'really useful bunny guide' and sits very still to be stroked.

Roland obviously never got past the 'book of bunny suicides' - if there is trouble to get into he's there.  So far he has got stuck behind the pet carrier, tried to jump off my shoulder when I'm standing up, chewed a hole in Natasha's jeans when she was cuddling Cassandra and twice tried to casually hop out of the door as I went to leave.  Such antics are obviously beneath Cassandra who tends to settle into her favourite 'powder puff with ears' position to watch him.

Our garden is 'bunny proof' but not 'Roland proof' so I am thinking about runs and playpens for later in the year.

Cassandra is happy to be cuddled either way up but Roland seems to have cottoned on to tummy tickles meaning other bits being checked and isn't as keen, but I did get him so limp once I wondered if he'd ever move again.   Su G, Cheltenham.  April 2005

Linford Lucas (very aristocratick).   (Linford of London, March 2005 - brother of Little/Big Bo-Peep below)

July 2005 - Linford is now married to his little blonde wife:

Gosh you were right about M25 traffic - we did not get home until 8pm! after only one brief stop. Still "Little Miss" which could now well be her name, was very good with just one small little accident - all contained nicely in the cuddle cup! Linford is in love - he lies outside her pen and they kiss occasionally and they have snuggled together in the bathroom (like a pair of bookends) but in larger rooms it's still very much cat and mouse so they are still separate for the moment because I don't want Little Miss getting too stressed and it also seemed at one stage as though Linford's heart was going to beat out of his chest. Have been giving them both lots of love when they are lying together and will persevere over the next few days. She's been munching well and doing everything she should and seems quite settled.

Thanks again for your kindness - my friend was very taken with the set up and also enjoyed a cuddle on the way home when I took a turn at driving.

Just to let you know that the twins have settled in really well. They are certainly enjoying their run, when we open the door of the hutch in the morning they come racing down the ramp and sprint around a few times! Harry has been having fun nibbling the hems of our jeans and they've both been happy to hop on and off Sophie's lap (she spent nearly all day sitting in the run with them yesterday!). They're both eating and drinking well and are very good bunnies, using their litter tray.

I can't tell you how delighted we are with them...  It's a real pleasure especially as they are completely comfortable being cuddled and love to come and say hello! I'll send you some pictures when I get the film developed and scanned into the computer (digital age hasn't yet reached our house!!).

Thanks once again!

It was lovely to see you again this afternoon. Just thought I'd let you know that I think Walter Wabbit is in love!!!!

He was introduced to Little Bo-Peep this evening and has taken her under his huge ears!
It was really amazing to see her confidence growing and her antics around the pen.  She's now bounding around, munching drinking and showing off her grooming skills to Walter who seems very impressed.  So far so good.  She really is beautiful and is a real cuddle-bum, even as soppy as Walter.

Thanks again, I really am thrilled,

Love Kerry x  March 2005

Eugene is fine and being thoroughly spoiled, he certainly responds to his name and love's to give and receive kisses and cuddles.  Your hard work and commitment to your lovely furry friends is so obvious in how friendly Eugene is, He is without doubt one of the cutest and most loving rabbits I could ever wish to snuggle.
